SELF-PORTRAITS AND ART
as Self-Knowledge with Adrián Coto
Monday 08 June 2026
19:00 - 22:30
-
The process invites intuitive insight into emotional and cognitive patterns, using art not only as expression, but as a way of producing knowledge about ourselves and the world.
Participants will receive a short PDF before the workshop with key questions and preparation prompts. On the day, we will begin with a gentle embodiment exercise to support physical awareness and emotional presence. This will be followed by free writing and drawing around the simple prompt: “What do I feel right now?”
From this expanded sense of self, participants will create their own self-portraits using a phone or camera. There will also be the option to print and work directly on some of the images. Collaboration will be possible for those who wish to explore the process in pairs or small groups. The workshop will close with a group reflection, creating space for sharing, care and closure. This methodology is rooted in Adrian Coo’s experience as a martial artist, meditation practitioner and visual artist, approaching art as a practice of self-knowledge and self-creation.
No previous experience is required.
This happening is open to people of all genders and backgrounds. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward xenophobia, homophobia, ableism, or any form of discrimination.
The venue is fully accessible and includes an accessible bathroom, cloakroom, and changing room. There is a sober bar.
This event is part of STÜCK cultural programme curated by Lidia Ravviso.
Duration: 4 hours
Provided: Pencils, paper
Required: Phone or camera, plus any production materials listed in the preparation PDF that will be sent over before the workshop
Optional: Lighting tools, camera/phone tripod
Bio Adrián Coto is a London based Latin American visual artist whose practice blends sculptural assemblage, photography, and critical theory to explore how bodies are shaped, read, and politicised. Their work interrogates the materiality of the body and the construction of gendered and othered subjectivities, drawing from queer methodologies, assemblage theory, and nonextractive, conversational forms of collaboration.
A graduate of the University of Westminster’s MA Photography Arts (Distinction) and trained in psychology at the University of Costa Rica, Adrián’s researchactive practice spans performance, installation, body casting, and experimental photographic sculpture.
They are the cofounder of Displaced Materials Lab, an internationally exhibited collective examining political inscription and abjection in visual culture. Their work has been shown in London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Central America, earning recognition including the Arts Council England Global Talent Visa and First Prize in Fine Art Photography at Expofoto Central America and the Caribbean.Alongside their artistic practice, Adrián designs inclusive, decolonial pedagogical frameworks and teaches across photography, performance, and critical visual theory.

THE ART OF LISTENING:
Sound & Preception Oriented Singing with Priske Dehandschutter
Friday 12 June 2026 - Saturday 13 June 2026
09:00 - 19:00
-
Rather than controlling the voice through fixed exercises or predefined muscular techniques, the method invites participants to follow sound itself as a guide. Through subtle body and thought stimulations focused on a single tone and vowel, participants explore how attentive listening can open the voice naturally and effortlessly.
The workshop focuses on developing a broader frequency spectrum within the voice, supporting a healthier and more resonant vocal state while deepening the connection between sound, body, and psyche. Participants are encouraged to approach the process with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to embrace change.
The seminar will include:
• An introduction to the Lichtenberger Method
• Sound development sessions in both individual and group masterclass formats
• Somatic awareness exercises
• Explanations of physiological vocal phenomena
• Space for reflection, sharing, and discussion
This workshop is open to singers, performers, voice practitioners, and anyone interested in exploring the relationship between voice, perception, and embodiment. No previous experience is required.
This event is open to people of all genders and backgrounds.
Duration: Full-day seminar
What to bring: Comfortable clothing, water bottle, a yoga mat, notebook if desired
What’s included: a light lunch and voice stimulation material
Bio
Priske Dehandschutter studied at music conservatories in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as at the Flemish Operastudio, where she completed Master’s degrees in solo/opera singing and voice teaching.
Alongside her work as a freelance classical singer, actress for theatre and television, and voice teacher, she has spent over twenty years researching voice development and sound perception through the Lichtenberger Method. She graduated as a licensed pedagogue from the Lichtenberger Institut für angewandte Stimmphysiologie in Germany.
Priske has taught sound development at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium and is an official vocal coach for the Belgian national choir association Koor&Stem. She currently runs a private practice between Amsterdam, Ghent, London, and Nashville. Her ongoing research also includes the study of “identity-oriented psychotrauma therapy” (IoPT) with Prof. Dr. Franz Ruppert, which has profoundly informed her understanding of the relationship between trauma, voice, body, and mind. In addition, she continued her vocal studies with renowned professor W. Stephen Smith at Northwestern University in Chicago, exploring his holistic vocal technique, The Naked Voice.

SOFTCLUB:

Sunday 14 June 2026
17:00 - 23:00

playbody studio launches softclub, a new monthly Sunday daytime gathering at STÜCK in Dalston. Built
around ambient music, thoughtful curation, and slower social rituals, softclub brings playbody’s body-centred
design practice into a permanent setting designed for conversation, connection, and collective presence.
Set inside STÜCK, playbody’s new collaborative space with Klub Verboten, softclub combines architecture,
sound, and social programming in an environment designed to encourage openness, intimacy, and low-pressure
interaction.
Known for its work across architecture, interiors, and live experience, playbody studio approaches softclub as an
extension of its spatial practice. Set within a purpose-built environment of cast concrete, aluminium structures,
tactile materials, and custom seating designed for gathering, the series explores how architecture, materiality, and
sound can shape social behaviour.

STüCK:
Open Haus
Thursday 18 June 2026
19:00 - 23:00
-
STÜCK proposes an alternative to conventional nightlife - an embassy for softness and sobriety, intentionally built for everyone chewed by the heavy logistics of nightlife culture, providing an interim space between home, work and Berghain.
Living in London means relocation to the fringes, club spaces are on the decline and cultural offerings are bound to pay per joy ticketing models. STÜCK is a grassroots project born from our tears and rubber cuddles questioning yourselfs, why go hard for 8h if we can go soft daily.
In a post sex-positive rave boom world that even Walmart seeks to ethos brand to, STÜCK dials back to the essential of human connection in urban spaces, adopting a new shape diluted from a club and playground. Internationally, physically and intellectually.
STÜCK OPEN HAUS is our open invitation to experience STÜCK. These socials are free - a chance to step into the space, meet the community, and get a feel for what we’re building. Expect good people, conversation, connection, exploration of the members area, and a softer introduction to STÜCK’s world. Whether you come to socialise, or simply want to see what this space is about and ask us about the vision.

Monday 29 June 2026
19:00 - 21:45

The session invites participants to reflect on how our relationships are shaped by the ways we connect, communicate, and care for one another. Through the lenses of desire, consent, vulnerability, and power dynamics, we explore new possibilities for relating with awareness and integrity.
The workshop brings together a crossing of disciplines — drawing from consentled practices, BDSM practices, somatic movement, and holistic approaches to embodiment — creating a space where pleasure, presence, and communication become tools for deeper relational awareness.
Through guided activities, dialogue, movement, and embodied exploration, we will:
• Reflect on how needs and desires shape our everyday interactions
• Cultivate practices that foster empathy, trust, and deep listening
• Explore how vulnerability and honesty can become sources of strength rather than risk
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave not only with practical tools for navigating consent, but also with a renewed perspective on how respect, curiosity, and collaboration can deepen the quality of our relationships.
The workshop balances reflection with playful exploration and may include:
• Interactive and physical exercises
• Dialogue and collective reflection
• Movement and embodied practices • Consensual play
All practices are gentle, optional, and designed to meet participants wherever they are in their personal journey.
What to bring
• A yoga mat
• A water bottle
• A notebook and a pen
This workshop is open to people of all genders and backgrounds. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward xenophobia, homophobia, ableism, or any form of discrimination. The venue is fully accessible and includes an accessible bathroom, cloakroom, and changing room. There is a sober bar.
Duration: 3 hours
